Installation Instructions

    Open the downloaded file

    Locate MacStats-1.0.4.pkg in your Downloads folder, then right-click it and choose "Open" (rather than double-clicking). Confirm "Open" in the dialog that appears.

    MacStats is not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS shows a warning on first launch. Right-clicking and choosing Open is how you approve it. On macOS 15 Sequoia or later, you may instead need to go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway".

    Run the Installer

    Follow the on-screen instructions to install MacStats into your Applications folder.

    Launch MacStats

    Open MacStats from Launchpad or Spotlight. If macOS blocks it, right-click the app in your Applications folder and choose "Open". You only need to do this once. MacStats then lives in your menu bar.
