Two permissions,and what each one is for.
MacStats monitors without any permissions at all. These two unlock the parts that act on your Mac rather than just read it.
1. Quitting processes (Accessibility)
Needed only if you want to quit a stuck process or background agent from the MacStats dashboard. Without it, everything else still works.
- Open System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security, then Accessibility.
- Click +, pick MacStats from Applications, and switch it on.
Allow the applications below to control your computer.
2. Automatic updates (App Management)
Lets MacStats replace its own copy when it updates, instead of macOS warning you every time.
- Open System Settings.

- Click +, pick MacStats from Applications, and switch it on.
